Hancock Advisors, LLC Managing Partner & CEO
Honorable Michael B. Hancock
The Honorable Michael B. Hancock is a globally recognized and respected civic leader with more than three decades of executive leadership experience. He was elected and served three terms as Mayor of The City and County of Denver, Colorado, the 19th most populous city in the United States with a population of more than 700,000.
Mr. Hancock is the CEO and founder of Hancock Global Services, LLC (HGS). HGS provides C-suite advisement services in public affairs, governance and policy, crisis management, strategic communications, and public-private partnerships. Mr. Hancock combines his proven track record of sound fiscal and organizational management, global business development, and capital planning with the knowledge and ability to convene key stakeholders to broker successful outcomes and build lasting relationships. He has the vision to see what is possible and the experience to identify the most direct path to achieve it.
As the Mayor of the City and County of Denver, Colorado, from 2011 through 2023, Mr. Hancock was granted greater administrative authority and responsibility than his predecessors. Denver faced a $100-million deficit upon his first election in 2011. Mr. Hancock had just six months to develop a strategic plan to bring Denver out of the Great Recession. He convened and led a group of regional economic development experts and private sector partners to create a financial strategy that would stabilize the city by creating jobs, attracting new business investment, and preparing the workforce for the 21st century. The result was one of the fastest growing economies in the nation. Denver quickly became home to more than 18,000 new companies, spurring a $6.6 billion investment downtown with cascading benefits across the state and region.
